Some photos of the Polymorph paintings in Parc Meurig Bethesda
My Polymorphs sat against the trees like tired little deflated creatures. It was a bit more windy than I thought, and again the paintings looked like tiny details in the woods. I think the sun bringing some shadows helped pop up the colours that I chose to be in contrast with the existing colours of the trees.
Branches, dead leaves and moss all ended up on the surface of the canvas, and very quickly some insects started to investigate the paintings.
The weather was much better than last year and lots of people came to see art and performances. A big thank you to Lisa for organising this event every year.
Thanks to Louise Morgan from Galeri 45 for inviting me to her project Woman to Woman: A Kaleidoscope of Art Made by Women, a group exhibition featuring female artists. The exhibition will open on the 7th of April and will run until the 11 of May 2018.
About the exhibition: The exhibition celebrates the diverse range of art made by women in North Wales. Female artists were invited to produce art work related to their own personal experience of being a woman, or about woman’s life.
