I am pleased to have been chosen among other artists in North Wales to have 5 of my works exhibited in the café of the Gallery Mostyn in Llandudno.
You can see the work on the first floor where the café is:
Three paintings of the series In Limbo, as well as Outreaching Limbs and Winter will be on show for four months. Come if you can!
Some photos of the Polymorph paintings in Parc Meurig Bethesda
My Polymorphs sat against the trees like tired little deflated creatures. It was a bit more windy than I thought, and again the paintings looked like tiny details in the woods. I think the sun bringing some shadows helped pop up the colours that I chose to be in contrast with the existing colours of the trees.
Branches, dead leaves and moss all ended up on the surface of the canvas, and very quickly some insects started to investigate the paintings.
The weather was much better than last year and lots of people came to see art and performances. A big thank you to Lisa for organising this event every year.
Leaves are turning yellow and red, curling up and falling little by little – yes, it’s that time of the year again:
Gwyl Afon Ogwen, the Ogwen River Festival in Bethesda North Wales, is happening next Saturday. I am taking part again in Parc Meurig:
I am working on three rolls of canvas that will hang loosely from the trees (if all goes to plan! Please please rain and wind, stay away from the woods for one day).
Please come if you can! All of the artists will be waiting for you on Saturday the 29th from 10am till 5pm, rain or shine!
